Variations of the same building using trimsheets and world position
Town buildings created for a game. They are designed in 4 Eras going from 1950 to 2010 and open end. Each Era is regognizeable for its design for its time and place, which was supposed to be somewhere in a middle european area.
I thought of and realized some concepts for those buildings to make them more unique with each instance
- All of them use trimsheets, which made texurizing easy and quick. It also allowed me to move the UV Islands up/down based on their world position, so the same buildings can look different each time its placed by the algorithm.
- The shaders also colorize the textures a bit differently base on their world map position.
- Decorations on the porches/gardens/balconies and fences are also randomized based on their position.
- Mid and highrise buildings are built in a way that they can have different heights because of more or less floors they can have.
